Mari Mahr : Between ourselves
Mari Mahr is a British photographer her series 'between ourselves' are photos from her journey while she traveled. Most of the photographs in the series involve significantly larger body part that shouldn't really fit in with the considerably further away background. She does this in order to draw in the viewer and have them try and understand the feeling and reasoning behind these images.
From the series one of my favorite photos is this one. A reason that I like this particular photograph is that it is cropped in a way that makes it seem like an illusion as the scale of the foot to the building is impossible in real life. The photograph is composed in such a way that you are drawn straight to the foot in the center of the image and then to the windows lining the building behind. The light looks natural, however the unnatural look to the pictures could suggest otherwise.

My journey...
These are photos of my journey over the summer. I thought about the angles and colors in these photos, some were morethought out then others as there was more time to take the photo it wanted. I tried to use techniques such as cropping, movement and capturing something unusual. I feel as if I have succeeded in using most of them. I did this by taking photos on busy streets and well-known areas where there are lots of people. If i was to retake the photos i would try to keep a theme of street photography as i feel that when i mixed the style and technique of the photos i begun to look messy.
